Serato x UKF Live
Over the last few months I've had the pleasure of working with Serato, UKF and Allen & Heath on a live stream project.

I'd done something similar before with the Strange System mix series that I put together when I released my first album. I wanted to do something similar but with much better production quality (as the previous was just done with a couple of go pro's at my studio).
Filmed up in Hackney at Serato's new London office, the setup was very impressive, with a huge LED wall and 9 cameras.
- 3 x Technics 1210
- Allen & Heath XONE:DB4
- Serato Performance Series 12"
- Serato DJ
I chose to do this on Technics 1210 turntables as that's what I grew up with, and it's what feels natural to me. Sadly it's near on impossible to use them in clubs these days.
The XONE:DB4 was exactly what I needed for this mix, it works seamlessly with Serato (no external sound card required) so you can just plug straight into it from your laptop. It has a load of amazing effects built in and a midi shift button, allowing you to switch almost every parameter into a midi controller, so you can map to functions in Serato, meaning you don't really have to touch the computer at all!
At the heart of the setup is Serato DJ which houses my music collection, provides the audio as well as a bunch of amazing innovations to make mixing more fun. I'm not going to go through all it's features on this post, if you want to find out more go here.
As always I tried to go completely across the board with the selection, drawing for new and old of as many styles as possible.
